On 20 March Thursday Matthew, A resident of Australia, reached Varanasi from Australia to fulfill his father's dream where he performed the tarpan of his father on the banks of the Ganges with full religious rites and performed Pinddaan.

Despite being a Christian, his father's last wish was that his last rites be performed according to Hindu customs. His father died when Matthew was ten years old. After his death, his mother performed the last rites of his father according to Christian rites. In such a situation, Mathew wanted to go to Kashi and perform his Pind Daan. To fulfill this wish, Mathew reached Varanasi and performed Shraddha Karma and Tarpan at Assi Ghat and prayed for his father's salvation.

Matthew is a photographer by profession, so he had knowledge of the religious significance of Kashi. Matthew will spend the one week in Varanasi, visit all the major temples and then return to Australia. While this work of Matthew has shown the energy of Sanatan Shakti, it has also inspired those youth who are Hindus but are getting detached from religious customs.
