The crack, now over 700 meters long, has breached the protective barrier north of Grindavík. A video reveals lava seeping from the fissure. The crack has extended further south, reaching several hundred meters into the reserves near the town. Earthquake activity continues unabated. Tremors are being detected at the southern end of the cattle corridor and north of Stóra-Skógfell. Seismic jolts have also hit Reykjanestána. Experts believe these are triggered tremors, linked to tension release from activity at the Swimming Pool Row. Authorities are on high alert as lava flows and earthquakes threaten the area.
