The 14th of 17 videos i got of the Partial Solar Eclipse seen around the world on 29th March 2025
This video past the maximum amount of the sun being covered. Filmed at 1138am ( the maximum was about 1116am so slightly less of the Sun is covered compared to some of my earlier videos now as the moon moves past the Sun)
where about 30% of the Sun was covered by the Moon moving in front of it .
Because the Moon is about 400 times smaller in diameter than the Sun and because the Sun is about 400 times farther away than the moon we get to see this amazing event .
My video is The 14th of 17 videos i made of the Partial Solar Eclipse seen around the world on 29th March 2025, the partial Eclipse began at 1007am in the UK and finished by 12pm, I filmed this from Cambridge England UK using a 1080p Camcorder fitted with a special filter I made that uses a special safety film you can use over telescopes and video cameras that enables You to film the Sun without going blind !
The Safety film reduces the intensity of solar radiation by 99,999% to a factor of 1 : 100 000 of the initial value.
Info on the eclipse https://www.independent.co.uk/space/solar-eclipse-2025-today-time-where-see-b2723745.html
Don’t forget to look at all 17 short videos I made to show off all of this amazing partial solar eclipse .
