PEOPLE HUGGING EACH OTHER MARYLAND, US - MARCH 30, 2025: Thousands of Muslims in the US came together to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Diyanet Center of America (DCA), located just outside Washington, D.C. The center, situated about 30 minutes from the U.S. capital, once again served as a key gathering point for Muslims from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, especially members of the Turkish-American community. From the early hours of the morning, worshippers filled the mosque, courtyard, and surrounding garden to perform the Eid prayer and join in collective supplication. Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr with prayers, feasts, and social gatherings marking the end of Ramadan's month-long dawn-to-dusk fasting. It is the first one of the two main festivals in Islam, the other being Eid al-Adha.
