Khartoum, Sudan - May 04, 2025 The Africa University in the southern part of the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, was used by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) as a base for storing weapons, detaining individuals, and carrying out other operations. Among the most notable actions was the presence of a mass grave within the university grounds. This grave reportedly contained bodies of RSF fighters as well as detainees held by the RSF. The group suffered significant human losses in Khartoum due to Sudanese Air Force airstrikes, prompting the RSF to use Africa University’s backyard as a mass burial site. The following report reveals the mass graves where the RSF buried its dead fighters and collaborators, along with the bodies of civilians—some of whom were killed directly by the RSF or died as a result of torture.
