On May 11, in Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, a concerning incident occurred in front of a street-facing shop.

Two young boys, around four or five years old, were playing outside the shop, where more than a dozen cardboard boxes were scattered. The children decided to use the boxes to play a game of hide-and-seek.

One of the boys approached a box positioned in the middle of the road and curled up inside it. A few seconds later, he climbed out. Just then, a black sedan slowly approached from behind. The driver, likely assuming the box was empty, drove directly over it—right onto the child’s leg.

As the boy screamed in pain, the driver realized something was wrong and immediately stopped the car. At the same time, the boy’s father and grandfather rushed over upon seeing the child trapped under the vehicle. The grandfather instructed the driver to slowly reverse, while the father quickly lifted the injured child from beneath the wheel and rushed him to the hospital.

Fortunately, the boy only suffered a minor injury to his foot and is currently recovering.
