VARIOUS OF BODY BEING CARRIED FOR BURIALKHAN YOUNIS, GAZA, PALESTINE - MAY 25, 2025: Palestinians held funeral prayers and buried the victims of an Israeli airstrike that targeted the al-Muaskar area, on Sunday, May 25, west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Grieving and in tears, mourners gathered to bid a final farewell to their loved ones killed in the latest wave of airstrikes. Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 53,900 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
