VARIOUS OF PALESTINIANS CARRYING BODIES ON SHOULDERS AFTER FUNERAL PRAYER / PLACE THEM INTO VEHICLE FOR BURIALGAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - JULY 23: A funeral was held Wednesday, July 23, in the courtyard of al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City for 14 Palestinians, including children, who were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house in the blockaded Gaza Strip. Mourners gathered to pay their respects as relatives of the victims expressed deep sorrow over the loss of their loved ones. According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the strike targeted a house belonging to the Mushteha family in northwestern Gaza City. Separately, an ambulance belonging to medical teams was also hit in the same area. One paramedic was killed in the attack. Local sources said the ambulance was targeted while trying to assist the wounded. Israel has killed more than 59,100 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in the Gaza Strip since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, collapsed the health system and led to severe food shortages. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
