Los Angeles, United States - May 25, 2025 05/24/2025 11:30 pm GMT-0700 DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles police officers responded in riot gear to a large crowd of more than 300 people attending an unpermitted music event on a rooftop in the 1700 block of Trinity Street, where the building appeared to be abandoned. As the situation escalated, an LAPD air unit issued multiple warnings for the crowd to disperse, citing illegal fireworks, narcotics use and public drinking. Officers began firing rubber bullets into the crowd to regain control of the chaotic scene. During the incident, suspects vandalized the Metro Gold Line and neighboring businesses with graffiti. The operator was forced to stop service due to the large crowd surrounding the area, prompting a call for metro supervisors to respond.
