On May 24th in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square, a cheeky crow was caught relentlessly pestering a cat, hopping behind it while cawing provocatively.

The cat calmly walked ahead, seemingly ignoring the bird, only pausing once to glare before continuing on. Undeterred, the crow kept up its antics, trailing the cat and squawking as if hurling insults.

Eventually, the cat appeared irritated but couldn’t retaliate against the nimble, airborne crow. After a few rounds of this strange standoff, the crow seemingly lost interest and flew off.

Experts say crows, being omnivores, may see cats as rivals for food sources like scraps near garbage bins. The harassment could be an attempt to drive the cat away from shared territory.
