RESIDENTS IN MUGLA RUSHED INTO STREETS FOLLOWING QUAKEMUGLA, TÜRKİYE - JUNE 3: A magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Mugla, one of Türkiye’s popular resort provinces, early Tuesday, according to the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD). The quake occurred at 2:17 a.m. local time and was centered offshore, approximately 10.43 kilometers (6.5 miles) from the coastal district of Marmaris in Mugla Province. It struck at a depth of 67.91 kilometers (42.2 miles), AFAD reported. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties. Authorities are continuing to monitor the area for aftershocks.
