US, Bakersfield: Lebec Wildfire Breaks Out Evacuations Warnings Underway Part 3
Bakersfield, United States - June 05, 2025 06/04/2025 11:30 pm GMT-0700 Lebec – A fire broke out in Lebec on the southbound side of Interstate 5, north of Fort Tejon Road near the rest area. Fire crews responded to the scene, including wildland crews, Kern County firefighters, and Los Angeles County firefighters. The last reported acreage affected by the fire was 50-60, with no containment established and a moderate rate of spread. Evacuation warnings have been issued for Kern Zones 535 and 539, according to watch duty and Genasys notifications. No official confirmation has been provided regarding the situation, but flames are reportedly pushing uphill. Some lanes of the southbound Interstate 5 are closed going up the Grapevine from Bakersfield.
