A pilot was left shocked when they glanced to their left and spotted two crickets clinging onto the aircraft's wing around 30 minutes into the flight.

Laura Braune told Newsflare: "While flying in Namibia during a pilot skills test at the Uis fly-in, I realised I wasn’t alone in the cockpit: two koringkriek, also known as armoured bush crickets, had hitched a ride on the aircraft’s wing strut.

"I’d seen them crawling around during my pre-flight checks, but assumed they’d fall off as soon as we took off. Thirty minutes into the flight, they were still hanging on tight, completely unbothered by the altitude, speed or wind!

"Their determination (and grip strength) had me in stitches. I managed to capture the moment mid-air before going back to focusing on the task at hand."
