Bakersfield, United States - June 08, 2025 06/07/2025 11:05 pm GMT-0700 Compton – An AMPM gas station was looted overnight Saturday during an anti-ICE protest near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Alondra Boulevard, according to footage obtained by Key News Network. The protest, held in opposition to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, escalated as demonstrators filled the streets and clashed with law enforcement. Projectiles were fired from both the protestors and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which deployed pepper balls and flashbangs in an effort to disperse the crowd. Several businesses in the area were also vandalized during the unrest, and earlier in the day, a car was set on fire as tensions rose. Video captured by KNN shows multiple individuals breaking into the gas station and stealing items, including beer and other merchandise, amid the chaos. Deputies remain on scene as the protest continues into the night.
