Bakersfield, United States - June 14, 2025 06/14/2025 01:30 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Hundreds of people gathered near the intersection of Truxtun Avenue and Chester Avenue Saturday morning to participate in a nationwide “No Kings” protest. The event began at 11 a.m. when about 150 protesters started marching through downtown Bakersfield. Attendees carried signs and chanted as they expressed their opinions on various issues. Local police monitored the situation, but the protest remained peaceful throughout its duration. While the event was expected to conclude by 1 p.m., it continued with an estimated 600 participants outside the courthouse. Attendance began to dwindle as the day progressed.
