Following the missile launches, sirens were heard in Amman, Jordan's capital. Israel confirmed the new wave of strikes, escalating tensions between the two nations. Since the confrontation began on Friday, Israel has targeted Iranian nuclear and missile facilities, killing senior military officials and scientists. Iran’s UN envoy stated that at least 78 people have been killed and 320 wounded in the attacks. In response, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned that continued Israeli aggression would be met with a "stronger and more decisive" retaliation. State TV reported that "heavy and destructive" counterstrikes against Israel were expected within hours. Iran has already fired multiple missile barrages since the conflict escalated on Friday.
