The incident claimed the lives of seven people, including prominent British businessman Mike Lynch. Ahead of the lift, the yacht’s 75-meter aluminum mast was cut off to facilitate recovery. Salvage operations are ongoing, and the wreck is expected to be transported to shore soon. Meanwhile, a group of journalists aboard the Italian Coast Guard vessel Diciotti approached the site to capture close-up footage of the recovery effort.
