Van fire sparks panic outside St Pancras train station in London
A van caught fire outside St Pancras train station in London, sparking panic among commuters and passersby.
The vehicle erupted in flames on Euston Road on the morning of June 24.
The London Fire Brigade was alerted at 10:17 am and had the fire under control by 11:01 am. Two fire engines and around ten firefighters from Kentish Town Fire Station responded to the scene.
While rail services continued uninterrupted, the west entrance to King's Cross Station was temporarily closed. Bus routes 46 and 214 were also diverted as a safety measure.
Footage captured by witness Zach shows emergency responders battling the blaze as police cordoned off the area.
Zach said: 'Every time it seemed like the fire had been put out, the flames started again.'
The van was completely destroyed, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
King's Cross St Pancras is the busiest station on the London Underground network, serving roughly 200,000 passengers daily.
