The attack caused panic among the displaced, while rescue teams continued to evacuate victims from the scene amid widespread destruction. Hospital sources said at least 47 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since early Friday. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israel’s military campaign has now killed 56,331 people and wounded 132,632 since October 2023, with the majority being women and children. The war began after Hamas’ October 7 attack on southern Israel, which killed 1,139 people and resulted in over 200 hostages being taken. Despite international calls for a ceasefire, Israel has continued its offensive, leaving much of Gaza in ruins.
