.NEW YORK, US - JULY 2: A federal jury has found music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs guilty on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution under the Mann Act, according to US media. US media reported on Wednesday, July 2, that Combs was acquitted of the more serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking, following a closely watched trial that featured multiple testimonies of alleged abuse and exploitation. The jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict on some racketeering counts, resulting in partial dismissal. However, the lesser charges carry a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison. Prosecutors are recommending a sentence of 51 to 63 months. In addition to all this, US District Judge Arun Subramanian denied Combs’ request for $1 million bail, citing concerns that he poses a risk to public safety and may attempt to flee. The court highlighted the severity of the crimes and the credibility of multiple victims who testified during the trial. Media outlets report that Combs, 55, has denied all allegations and is expected to appeal the convictions. He is reportedly being held in federal custody pending sentencing.
