US media reported on Wednesday, July 2, that Combs was acquitted of the more serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking, following a closely watched trial that featured multiple testimonies of alleged abuse and exploitation. The jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict on some racketeering counts, resulting in partial dismissal. However, the lesser charges carry a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
