Overcrowding at Terminal 4, Barajas Airport, Madrid, Spain
On July 2, 2025, at Terminal 4 in Barajas Airport, Madrid, Spain, @sebastianfest shared a video showing chaotic scenes caused by extreme overcrowding. The footage reveals long lines at check-in counters, jammed security, and checkpoints. According to staff, around 9,000 passengers were passing through between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., overwhelming the airport’s capacity. At the end of the video, a photo shows a view from the escalator, capturing the long queues and blocked security checkpoints. Many passengers, including the author, missed their flights due to the severe congestion.
