Buzz meets BoyHollywood Studios, Disney World

That boy is my son, Ryder, 7. He has loved Buzz since he was 3 and started watching the movies. We've gone to Disney on Ice the last 3 years but he was bummed when Buzz (nobody from TS made an appearance) didn't skate. But, they sold a Buzz laser gun. He had to have it.

When he found out we were going to Disney World (2 weeks before we went), he said ,"Mom! I have to take my Buzz Light-year gun. I will shoot him with his gun and tell him To infinity and beyond!" I chuckled a little. But said ,"Ok."

Flash forward to Sunday, June 29th. Our second visit to Hollywood studios. The first visit, we missed Buzz by 25 minutes. We didn't get a chance to do Slinky Dog or Toy Story Mania that first visit. We couldn't leave Disney in 2 days having not met Buzz.

So we went back for that second visit. We made sure to book it right back to where Buzz makes his appearances. We waited 40 minutes. Then it was time. He was so excited!

He'd been awaiting to meet Buzz for 3 years, but specifically, for the duration of our Disney trip. It was his time....and it was one of the funniest moments! I just wish I hadn't stopped recording when I did! Because Buzz, yes shocked, he was getting lasered from his own gun, motioned to see his gun, my son gave it to him, he looked at it, shook his head and gave him a thumbs up and then a huge hug!! I didn't capture those last 30 or so seconds on video, but it was still a magical moment for my son, myself, and Buzz. To infinity, and beyond!
