A fire has broken out in Chatham, Kent, on July 11 sending a large plume of smoke into the sky.

The filmer told Newsflare: "This morning in Chatham, I woke up and noticed something unusual through my window — a huge column of dark smoke rising into the sky. At first, I wasn’t sure what I was looking at, but as the minutes passed, the smoke grew heavier and more dramatic, stretching high above the rooftops."

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
