Storyline: China's "icy city" stages ice sculpture exhibition in summer [Voice_over] A new cool summer destination was unveiled in northern China's "icy city" of Harbin, where the winter spirit never thaws. At this massive indoor facility at the Harbin Ice and Snow World, thousands of ice sculptures are on display, kept cool in subzero temperatures. Even still, the ice melts—making each piece a fleeting masterpiece. Ice sculptors are on hand round the clock to make timely repairs to finished works. [Sound_bite] Hou Weidong, ice sculptor: "Now, we are making some ice-sculpted domestic landmarks, such as the Ruins of St. Paul's in Macao and they will be added to the exhibition area one after another." [Voice_over] Harbin Ice and Snow World was recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's largest ice and snow park in 2024. In the most recent snow season, the park attracted a record-breaking 3.5 million tourists. [Restrictions : No access Chinese mainland]
