GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - JULY 18, 2025: At least 26 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed and dozens more injured in a series of Israeli genocidal attacks targeting displacement camps and homes across the Gaza Strip, according to hospital sources and eyewitnesses. In the early hours of the morning, Israeli forces carried out strikes on a home and tents sheltering displaced civilians in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Six Palestinians were also killed by Israeli gunfire near a humanitarian aid distribution point in Rafah. In the Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, three people died in an Israeli strike on a civilian-populated area. A separate attack on a residential home killed at least five and injured ten others, with reports indicating that some remain trapped beneath the rubble. In the west of Khan Younis, an Israeli drone strike hit tents sheltering displaced people, killing a woman and a child and wounding at least nine others. In the Mawasi area of southern Gaza, five more Palestinians were killed and 15 injured when Israeli strikes hit tents housing displaced civilians. In northern Gaza’s Jabalia district, an Israeli bombing of a residential building resulted in five deaths and numerous injuries. Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, killing nearly 59,000 Palestinians so far, most of them women and children. The relentless bombardment has destroyed the enclave and led to food shortages and a spread of disease. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
