At least 5 Palestinians killed in Israeli attack targeting aid seekers in Gaza
.GAZA, PALESTINE - JULY 22, 2025: At least 5 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack targeting aid seeking Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, July 22. According to hospital sources and eyewitnesses, the Israeli army once again struck Palestinians waiting for aid in the Al-Sudaniya area in the northwest of the Gaza Strip. The Palestinians had gathered in the area to try to obtain a limited amount of flour that had entered through the Zikim Crossing. Some of the aid seekers were injured by Israeli gunfire and evacuated from the scene, while at least five were reported killed. Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing nearly 55,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave. Reporting by Anas Zeyad Fteha // Writing by Ayse Elif Erdis
