Ukrainian prosecutor general addresses anti-corruption bill in Kyiv
KYIV, UKRAINE - JULY 23, 2025: Ukrainian Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko spoke at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday, July 23, on draft law No. 12414, which regulates the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
A day earlier, Ukraine’s parliament approved the law, and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed it into effect despite public opposition.
Rallies broke out in Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Odesa and other cities on July 23, with demonstrators protesting the law and voicing concerns over its impact on anti-corruption efforts.
