Orangutans forced to perform as band in sad scene from Thai zoo
Orangutans were forced to perform as a band to amuse tourists at a controversial Thai zoo.
Footage shows the animals dressed in wacky outfits as they pretended to play drums, bongos, and guitars onstage at the Safari World Bangkok on February 11.
Several more orangutans were wrapped in skirts and were seen twerking on a platform.
Safari World Bangkok has been accused of mistreating its animals, including orangutans and elephants, and forcing them to 'work' by performing tricks for visitors while dressed as humans.
The zoo had also been implicated in an animal trafficking case involving more than 100 orangutans from Indonesia in 2004.
