KIELCE, POLAND - JULY 28, 2025: Footage shows submerged areas of Kielce in southern Poland, where heavy rainfall caused flash flooding on Monday, July 28.
The Polish Meteorological Office (IMGW) had issued a Level 3 warning for provinces including Opole, Silesia, and Lesser Poland due to the expected occurrence of thunderstorms and intense rainfall.
Authorities cautioned that rainfall totals could reach up to 120 liters per square meter, accompanied by winds of up to 80 km/h and localized hailstorms, potentially leading to power outages and disruptions.
