Anwar, who arrived in the Indonesian capital on Monday, was welcomed by Prabowo at the presidential palace.
The two leaders are expected to discuss a range of issues, including bilateral ties, regional developments, the Israeli war on Gaza, and recent U.S. tariffs.
They are scheduled to co-chair a bilateral meeting with their respective delegations, followed by the signing of several cooperation agreements in areas such as land border management, healthcare, and information and communications technology.
The last high-level consultative meeting between the two countries took place in 2017 in Kuching, Sarawak, led by then-President Joko Widodo and then-Prime Minister Najib Razak.
