Influencer McKara Grey turned a routine orthodontic adjustment into a viral sensation when her jaw locked open during her 46th palate expander turn. Following her orthodontist’s instructions, she found herself stuck, mouth agape, for nearly an hour.

After trying warm compresses and gentle massage to coax her jaw back into place, she headed to the dentist, who referred her to a specialist two blocks away. But in a twist worthy of a sitcom, her jaw spontaneously reset itself as she walked out the door.

The video, posted to Instagram, has since garnered over 5 million views.

I got an expander to make my palate wider and on my 46th turn I dislocated my jaw and got stuck with my mouth wide open for an hour! We went to the dentist as we were advised to do in this scenario.
