Los Angeles, United States - August 05, 2025 08/04/2025 11:00 pm GMT-0700 NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles Police Department officers from the Devonshire Division responded to a report of a burglary on the 9600 block of Amestoy Avenue. The reporting party informed authorities that she was house-sitting at the location when she heard footsteps inside the residence. Upon arrival, officers entered the home and conducted a thorough search. They determined that no one was inside and subsequently met with the reporting party. After their investigation, officers found no evidence of a crime. Residents in the area are on high alert due to a recent increase in residential burglaries in the San Fernando Valley. Fortunately, this incident turned out to be a false alarm.
