4. VARIOUS OF CONSTRUCTION VEHICLES DIGGING TRENCH CLOSE TO WILDFIRE ZONE KARABUK, TÜRKİYE - AUG. 7: Firefighting operations continued on Thursday, Aug. 7, in a rural region of Karabuk province in northern Türkiye, where a forest blaze erupted near the village of Aricak in the central district.

Fanned by strong winds, the fire quickly intensified, prompting a swift response from ground crews of the forestry department and municipal fire brigades.

Aerial support, including helicopters, was also dispatched to aid containment efforts.

In late July, Türkiye confronted multiple wildfires nationwide, launching firefighting efforts by both air and ground in high-risk provinces such as Karabuk, Bursa, Antalya, Mersin, Ankara, and Kahramanmaras.

Since the beginning of summer, over 3,000 wildfires have been fully extinguished.
