GAZA, PALESTINE - AUGUST 8, 2025: The moment an Israeli airstrike struck the home of the Palestinian Ajur family near the Abbas Junction in western Gaza was captured on video on Friday, August 8, as Israel’s relentless attacks continued on civilians in the besieged enclave amid the ongoing genocide.
The explosion flattened the building and caused extensive damage to nearby structures and infrastructure. In the aftermath, thick plumes of smoke rose above the neighborhood, obscuring the skyline. Local reports indicate the strike resulted in both fatalities and injuries, though the exact number of casualties has not been confirmed.
Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued genocide in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, killing over 61,200 Palestinians, most of them women and children. The relentless bombardment has destroyed the enclave and led to food shortages.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
