VARIOUS OF PROTESTERS CARRYING BANNERS, PALESTINIAN FLAGS AND MARCHING AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS - AUGUST 9: Hundreds of people marched through the streets of Amsterdam, The Netherlands on Saturday, Aug. 9, to protest the ongoing starvation crisis in Gaza. The protesters gathered at Beursplein Square of the city, carried banners, Palestinian flags and chanted slogans, criticizing the Netherlands, the US, the UK, and Western governments for supporting Israel despite the attacks on Gaza. Then, they started to march through the streets of the city chanting slogans in support of Palestinians and people of Gaza Strip. Israel has been facing mounting outrage over its deadly war on Gaza, where more than 61,300 people have been killed since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave and brought it to the verge of famine. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
