According to the Spanish Emergency Military Unit, a total of 119 military personnel and 52 vehicles, including two helicopters from the Emergency Helicopter Battalion II (BHELEME II), were deployed to the area. The forces are working to consolidate fire perimeters, carry out direct attack operations, and monitor hotspots to prevent possible reactivations. Wildfires in Leon province have intensified, prompting regional authorities to raise the alert to IGR 2 — the highest risk level — for blazes in Yeres and Llamas de Cabrera on Saturday, August 9. Another fire in San Bartolome de Pinares in Avila also reached IGR 2, while active fires remain at IGR 1 in Orallo, Fasgar, and Fontoria in the Valle de Laciana.
