Israeli airstrike kills 18-month-old in Gaza
.... GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - AUG. 15, 2025: An 18-month-old boy was killed Friday, Aug. 15, after an Israeli airstrike hit tents sheltering displaced Palestinians along Shuhada Street.
The child, identified as Kenan Bekr, died in the attack, while his father, Heysem Bekr, was wounded.
Footage from the scene shows grieving relatives mourning over Kenan’s body inside an ambulance.
Israel has been facing mounting outrage over its deadly war on Gaza, where nearly 61,800 people have been killed since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave and brought it to the verge of famine.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
