The filmer said: ""Heard the crying of what we thought was a cat on our wooded property in Saint Peter‘s Village Pennsylvania. A historic old mining town. Upon further investigation and following the cries, I found this little one in a deep crater, covered with debris and sticks, no way to get out... our family cut and cleared the debris, giving us access to rescue this baby.

"My daughter-in-law Sarah was the true hero, jumping in the hole without a second thought. My granddaughter's first experience with seeing a newborn fawn this close is absolutely precious as you hear her happiness when she sees it. But I have to say the funniest part is my husband's remarks at the end of the video when he says…'Now what?'"
