A brush fire, named the Parks Fire, burned in the Tri-Valley area near Dublin and San Ramon, California on Friday afternoon, August 22. The fire, fueled by grassy terrain along the Dublin-San Ramon border near Camp Parks and the former FCI Dublin prison, grew to about 118 acres and was 25% contained by evening. Fire crews from Cal Fire, SRVFPD, ACFD, and Camp Parks’ fire department responded, and authorities said the fire posed minimal threat to structures by the evening.
