In the summer of 2022, an air ambulance drew a crowd of excited families in Lingfield Road Recreation Ground in East Grinstead, West Sussex, when it had to make an emergency landing because it had been losing height.
I waited for it to take off again from a safe distance. The rotating blades caused a huge rush of air, which can be seen making the trees lash around as it takes off. I waited quite a while for it to take off again, so I could film it with my iPhone. Later I took the video into iMovie because the helicopter was grounded for around twenty minutes before it took off; and circled around for some time, so I made a crossfade transition to show a brief time lapse and show it rising up further into the air.
