Phoenix, United States - August 26, 2025 Severe flooding swept through the city on August 26, 2025, with water levels rising high enough to almost submerge cars. The dramatic scene was captured on video by user Code3AZ, who recorded vehicles stranded in deep water as floodwaters surged through the streets. This flooding came just two days after a massive dust storm, or haboob, struck on August 25, 2025. That storm brought heavy rain and thunder, drastically reducing visibility and creating hazardous conditions for drivers. Arizona faces both regional and flash floods, events that carry dangerous risks and the potential for widespread damage. The National Weather Service had issued warnings for dust storms and severe thunderstorms, adding to the alerts surrounding the extreme weather. Sharing the footage, Code3AZ remarked: “Who said Arizona doesn’t have beaches.”
