Ciudad Real, Spain - August 27, 2025 A large fire broke out at the city’s entrance near the La Granja neighborhood on the N-430 road on August 27, 2025. Video filmed by user Aníbal shows thick black smoke rising into the sky, with flames visible at the base. Several people gathered on the sidewalk, observing the blaze from a safe distance. The fire spread across a grassy or vegetated area close to what appears to be residential or commercial zones, marked by billboards and a stop sign. Reported to have started around 11:30 AM, the fire was controlled by approximately 1:00 PM the same day. Some material damage occurred, but no personal injuries were reported. Nearby residents were at risk, leading to temporary evacuations while local emergency services, including police, firefighters, and Infocam teams, worked to contain the blaze. The fire’s origin appears to have been accidental. Aníbal said: “Impressive fire at the entrance of Ciudad Real, on the N-430.”
