In Minya, located in the central part of the country, Sufi orders celebrate the anniversary with enthusiasm through the Mawlid procession they organize. Egyptians participating in the celebrations, dressed in white, walked while reciting prayers and hymns, adding color to the event with drum, flute, and sword performances. Muslims across the world celebrate Mawlid al-Nabawi on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal, with the day varying from country to country according to the lunar calendar. The Prophet died on the same day as his birth at the age of 63. The day is a public holiday in several Muslim-majority countries, including Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and some parts of India.
