The 14th China Intellectual Property Annual Conference will be held on Sept 11 and 12 in Beijing, said the National Intellectual Property Administration on Friday. Under the theme of "IP in the Digital Age," the conference will focus on tackling key technologies and cultivating strategic emerging industries. Experts and scholars at home and abroad will exchange views on hot topics ranging from artificial intelligence, biomedicine, integrated circuits, private economy, to foreign-related IP protection, officials of the administration said at a press conference in Beijing. The annual conference has become a brand event for national intellectual property protection and application program in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), said Liu Chao, chairman of the Intellectual Property Publishing House. "It has combined policy interpretation, academic research, and industry analysis in depth to continuously help optimize the business and innovation environment. Over the past five years, it has directly facilitated over 5 billion yuan (about 700 million US dollars) in the total value of partnership projects, promoting the efficient flow of innovative elements such as technology, capital, and talent, while accelerating the transformation and industrialization of intellectual property achievements," said Liu. Officials also noted that the 14th China International Patent Fair, sponsored by the National Intellectual Property Administration, will be held in Dalian, northeast China's Liaoning Province in mid-October.
