CLOSE-UP OF PRO-PALESTINE STICKER SCRIPT A national demonstration took place in Dublin on Saturday, Sept. 6, with participants marching from the U.S. Embassy at Stephen’s Green to the Department of Foreign Affairs. Calling for an immediate end to the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, demonstrators carried Palestinian flags and placards bearing messages such as “Stop Being Complicit in Genocide,” “Zionist Killing Babies,” and “Break the Chains of Zionism.” Protesters also chanted slogans including “Free Palestine,” “Occupation No More,” and “From the Sea to the River, Palestine Will Live Forever.” Organized by rights groups and community activists, the protest highlighted opposition to U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and Ireland’s role in international affairs. Organizers said the march drew broad participation from across the country. The demonstration, which began at 1 p.m., included speeches and calls for a stronger Irish stance on global justice. The Israeli army has continued its genocide in the Gaza Strip, killing at least 64,300 Palestinians since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
