MOMENT OF LUNAR ECLIPSETEHRAN, IRAN - SEPTEMBER 07: The total lunar eclipse was observed through telescopes set up at various points in the city by astronomy associations on Sunday (September 7). Many people gathered at the Water and Fire Park on Nature Bridge, where the telescopes were set up, to watch the total lunar eclipse, which was announced to be clearly visible in Tehran. The eclipse in the capital began at 7:57 p.m. local time, and at 9:10 p.m., the total eclipse was clearly observed as the Earth's shadow covered the Moon. As Tehran residents came one after another to watch the eclipse through the telescopes, the visual spectacle created by the Moon turning reddish was recorded by citizens with their cell phones and cameras. The reddish hue occurs when the Earth passes between the sun and the moon, casting its shadow and filtering sunlight through the atmosphere. This natural phenomenon, which can only be seen during a total lunar eclipse, has fascinated skywatchers for centuries.
