Japan: Torrential rain halts train services in Tokyo

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, Tokyo's Setagaya area received some 100 millimeters (3.9 inches) of rain in an hour, Kyodo news agency reported. Train services between Tokyo's Shinagawa station and Shin-Yokohama station in neighboring Kanagawa province were halted temporarily due to heavy rain in nearby Kawasaki, according to the report.
