Mr Sun saw the tabby pressing its paw onto the punctured pipe laid out on the pavement in Chongqing, China.
Footage shows water squirting onto the ground, prompting the moggie to continuously tap at the hole, seemingly perplexed by the sprays coming from the pink hose on September 7.
Each time it presses its paw against the hose, it acts like a tiny plug, blocking the water flow.
