Two aerobatic teams of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force thrilled spectators at the 2025 aviation open-day activities of the Chinese PLA Air Force and the Changchun Air Show in Changchun, northeast China's Jilin Province. The air show takes center stage at the aviation open-day activities from September 19 to 23. A total of eight JL-8 trainer jets from the Red Falcon Aerobatic Team participated in the performance. While performing different flight maneuvers, the jets maintained delicate formations, demonstrating the high proficiency of the pilots' flying skills. Established in 2011, the Red Falcon is comprised of outstanding flight instructors from the Air Force Aviation University. Then, the Bayi Aerobatic Team presented a stunning performance, with six J-10 aerobatic fighter jets flying over spectators, executing various maneuvers against the backdrop of a blue sky, thrilling the audience with their excellent acrobatic skills. Initially founded in 1962, the Bayi Aerobatic Team was renamed 25 years later after the PLA's founding date, which falls on August 1.
