GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE (SEP. 24, 2025) (AL-QASSAM BRIGADES - RESTRICTED) RESTRICTION: USERS MUST CREDIT “AL-QASSAM BRIGADES” HANDOUT, MUST NOT OBSCURE LOGO —EDITORIAL USE ONLY — SHOTLIST: 1.VARIOUS OF MEMBERS OF AL QASSAM BRIGADES TARGETING ISRAELI MILITARY VEHICLES / EXPLOSION OF ISRAELI VEHICLES Hamas' armed wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, released footage on Wednesday, Sept. 24, showing that its fighters targeted two Israeli Merkava tanks with Yasin-105 rockets in the Tel al-Hawa area in southern Gaza, killing and wounding Israeli soldiers, during ongoing Israeli air and ground assaults on the city. In a statement posted on its Telegram account, the Qassam Brigades said the attack came in response to Israeli attempts to occupy Gaza City and force residents to flee, as well as what it described as two years of ongoing massacres. The group said its fighters were continuing to resist Israeli forces operating in the area. The statement added that the Israeli units hit in the attack had been carrying out air and ground operations against southern Gaza. There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military regarding the reported incident. Since Oct. 7, 2023, Israel has been carrying out a genocide in Gaza, which has killed more than 65,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. The military campaign has devastated the enclave and led to famine.
